Subscribing to the Green Ova way of life is an easy decision. We all know there are 5 Chapters. We all know Main Attrakionz consists of Squadda B & Mondre Man. We all know the magic that is 808s and Dark Grapes. And we all know that the Cloud Rap pioneers look to pay homage to their bay area upbringing in every single way on every single track. 

 

So what don't we know? Nothing…And that's OK.

The fact that they both play their cards at face value is needed in hip hop rn.

Squadda, the energetic visionary, and Mondre, the stoic individual that he is, bring opposite ends of the spectrum together to produce heavenly, seamless music. There's not a strategy or idea passing between the pair that is not a collaborative, fluid effort. The universe knew what it was doing when it fused these two together under a green flag. 

 

I recently spent the day with MA while they stopped in NYC to play a set at Webster Hall during the east coast leg of their tour. We shot some photos at the beautiful Carnegie Club on West 56th St., one of the few remaining cigar lounges in the city. Exotic wood textures and period patterns adorn the inside of this landmark location, which is situated directly across the street from New York's very own Carnegie Hall. The unforced, cohesive conversation between this gathering of the minds gave us the perfect platform to capture an honest moment in time. ###
